Good product although it would be nice.

Good product although it would be nice to have Arduino examples (e.g. how to connect to Ubidots or Thingspeak) and better documentation. The ones found on the web show insane levels of contamination, so I'm guessing that either the firmware or the sensor isn't working properly.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

NO 5V device, best for single board computers

Do not trust the instructions on this product page; Using 5V on this chip will cause it (instead of detecting smoke) to become a *smoke emitter* for a short time.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • No automatic control

Pretty neat gadget for computers and accessories

Cool little sensor that I hope I can use to determine if our HEPA filter is actually doing something useful. Easy to connect to Arduino and ESP8266.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Empty

Works as advertised.

Cool dust sensor. I removed the 11:1 output divider line as it is not needed for my Arduino UNO. I now have better resolution for particle counting. This thing can detect the next foot's pounding on the carpet as your foot kicks up dust.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent results in single board computers

I'm doing a project measuring air quality in my workshop and this sensor was one of 20 I've used. This is by far the best Arduino air sensor, and its reading matches that of the Foobot that sits next to it. I believe this sensor can be found in many commercial products. That's the real deal.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I'll write later
