It was difficult to say. - Hard disk housing

***Edit and update*** After posting the picture and review, this seller contacted me and took care of me. Because the customer service was excellent I changed my rating from 2 to 5. Thank you WAVLink for a great product and great customer service. ----- When my WavLink arrived it was broken. I had to use it that night so I took the photo (above) and then reassembled the case. It worked well (and quickly) but was not reliably built. I am satisfied with the speed and ease of use of this device…

I got this dock mainly for accessing files on hard drives.

I got this dock mainly for accessing files on HDDs and SSDs during data transfer and it worked for that purpose without any problems. I haven't used this dock for duplicating discs without a PC, so I can't comment on this feature. Last week, after turning it on and off for a month, it suddenly stopped turning on when both slots were occupied. It would start turning on and then after a second or so it would turn off and start over again. I emailed Wavlink for help and received a response from…

It works if you know exactly how.

work! Here's what you need to know.1. Make sure it is turned off when docking drives.2. After the discs are securely inserted, turn on the unit. Wait for the OTG button ring to turn blue where both destination and source are highlighted. This indicates both hard drives are installed correctly.3. Press and hold the OTG button until the LED ring flashes blue. Once it starts flashing, stop pressing.4. Press the button again while it is flashing.5. You should see a ring flash where it's marked at…

I cannot recommend this product enough. You must buy!

I have an external 1 TB Western Digital SATA WD10EADS hard drive that neither my MAC nor my computer can read anymore. It had all my pictures of my children since 2003. It received power, made a clicking sound, and flashed a light. After trying all kinds of software to get my computers to try and read it. I have several suggestions for data recovery. Most offers were $600 and up. Then I decided to watch some YouTube videos about alternative data recovery methods. There I found out that there is

The device has a solid build and is very easy to connect to a USB port

The device has a solid build and is very easy to connect to a USB port. Requires no proprietary driver - Windows will happily take care of this hard drive as soon as you plug it in. Funny, the instructions say the driver disk is included, but there is no CD, and in any case, the CD isn't needed. Access to a Windows PC. There is an on/off switch on the back of the device that allows the user to leave it off when not needed. I plugged the device into a USB 3.0 port and it looks like my speed for…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • There are nuances

I didn't buy this for cloning, but to access the numerous drives I have lying around and use some of the one card reader. The speed seems good, but after a week or two I started having problems with the card reader, thinking the cards were write-protected. I use this daily for image editing, so this was a real problem. The only way to solve the problem was to turn the device off and on again. The reason for this was not my SD cards. I use a lot of these in different cameras and they all…
