Great item at a great price

Original part lasted 4 or 5 winters. The pump itself is great. This plastic valve broke, possibly because I pulled the pump off the pool cover by the hose in the cold. This valve was cheap and actually pumped water faster than the one it replaced.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Doesn't work all day

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had a problem turning the receiver off for the rest of the day? The receiver is fully charged. This is the second. When I first contacted the seller, I received a message within 12 hours. Now two days with no reply. Aaron

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • So far so good

Perfect replacement part

This part broke on my 3 year old pump which I use to cover my pool to keep it exposed to the weather/sun most of the year. This part fits perfectly. Also, prior to the rupture, the internal valve in the old part was not closing properly, allowing water to back up, causing the pump to cycle on and off frequently. The new part solved this problem as well.

Pros
  • Handy part
Cons
  • Inefficient

Perfect Fit: Rough plumbing

This winter I made the mistake of pulling on a frozen hose and cutting the check valve connection to the Wayne pump. I put it back on and sealed it with tape but a day later it peeled off again. Found this part at Revain and ordered it. I screwed it on and within minutes my pump was like new and running again. Lesson learned, DO NOT PULL THE WAYNE PUMP by the hose as this WILL BREAK the check valve fitting.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Damaged

Doesn't fit the Wayne Pump properly!

Incorrect thread, does not fit. The check valve inside should hang down where the valve says "up" but if you screw it in properly so it doesn't leak the valve will lie on its side and not work. It's probably bad mold, I bought a second one to be sure and it's bad too. Unfortunately I can't return the first one, I've waited too long, but it wasn't needed all summer.

  • Heavy processing

Cheap parts available.

I have had this Wayne pump for about 5 years which is way longer than any other pump I have had. Eventually I think I've burned out 3 pumps in 4 years. Needless to say, I want to stick with it. A few years ago a piece of dirt (think mulch) got stuck in the damper and it stayed half open. The entire assembly froze and fell apart, and as part of an emergency repair I just glued everything I could back together (essentially a check valve with no flapper). I forgot about this repair very quickly…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
