I'm giving 2 stars because it's beautiful and a great idea, but that's about it. It creaks horribly, looks poorly/cheaply made. It had coarse black substances and a strange oily substance in some of the petals.

This is an amazing product and we use it to store my daughter's earrings and jewelry. However, in the first week two containers do not fold or unfold. I'll admit this probably happened because my daughter kept wanting to open and close it, but played around with it a bit anyway.

Small black spots on the outside and on some petals. Even before the lid was rotated to open the compartments, a loose tab opened of its own accord when the item was removed from the box (photo 2). This petal is not fixed, it will open if you simply tilt it towards the product. If you actually twist the top to open all the compartments, that loose petal won't open (Photo 3). Will return. Good idea. Poor quality/performance.
