I have bought several other privacy cases and the top of the cover inevitably falls off. They all seem to work well on laptops and other devices, but the phone going in and out of pockets and my bag cause problems with cases falling off. I used to buy extras and only replace the sliding part. I am very happy to find this design where the lid is not easy to fall off! I've been wearing it for a few days now, sometimes in my trouser pocket, sometimes without any problems with adhesion or anything.

So I bought this little case for my MacBook camera and I'd say it's OK. Didn't have much trouble getting it there, so that was good. I've been using my MacBook for about a week since I keep opening and closing it and haven't had any issues with it coming off so I'd say the adhesive is pretty strong. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the little slider is difficult to move back and forth. You have to get your nail just right to move it. Apart from that everything is alright.

Not what I expected from the pictures in the post. It's a thin translucent plastic. I broke the first one I was trying to install on my Chromebook so I was glad I got four packs. They were tricky to install as you can't open the clasp all the way without it falling off. As a result, it was difficult to accurately align the camera with the hole in the fender. For now they do their job but I wouldn't buy this type again.

They're very thin (low profile) and the plastic is flexible enough that they can't easily be snapped in half like some similar ones I've tried.
