I was disappointed with this purchase and don't think I've used them since receiving them. Pros: They work. You have to flip them over and possibly make a mess (must have a screw top). Bigger than I thought based on the picture (It's probably more my fault for not reading the measurements but they seemed small. Just be aware they are a certain size) Neutral: No way the shakers/holes close. It's not really a big deal as they are very unlikely to tip over.

When it comes time to fill them, they either need to be empty to avoid a mess, or you can tape the top holes shut with tape. bigger holes. I docked a star because I think spice shakers are mostly used outdoors so they should have some sort of lid or plug over the holes that can be covered to prevent moisture getting in when they are in use Not used. On the other hand, you just have to remember to bring them in every time they're not in use so your salt and pepper don't burn. and they keep a fair amount.
