Leaks at the pipe joint when using a 4 inch pipe. When connecting a 4" light gauge pipe, the pipe goes to the outside of the oval end of the grate - should be reversed where the pipe goes to the oval end of the grate to ensure proper water drainage. Water seeps through the pipe/grate connection before it even enters the grate.

Very Tough - Rough Plumbing

Very Strong Plastic. Exactly the size I needed. I read where it said it won't fit 4" PVC because it has an oval plug. If you're using a hair dryer on the high/hot setting, point it to one side of the oval and stand on the other. side it will be a little softer and the oval "round". Turn to the other side and do the same. TA Dah! Fits.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • It's OK

ELK lawn ladder

I really liked the ELK lawn ladder. Fast delivery, good quality product. One thing to keep in mind is that when installing underground yard drains, make sure you have enough slope at the end of the grate for it to drain. The courtyard grate has an inclined head, which allows the discharge to be distributed in the form of a modified fan. This product is perfect for our garden and the slope in it!

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Good solution to give your 4 inch drain a proper inlet grate

I use this to create an inlet for my backyard drain. ) when a large downpour sweeps over an area. This works well, but you have to be careful to keep the leaves in the area clean or they'll get caught in the grille (as they should) and effectively block reception.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not bad
