I find the size ratings can be confusing. Do they meet the expectations according to the standard or the attached size table? Well based on the feedback we went down 1 full size and I'm so glad we did. My 3 year old has outgrown a 10 year old but it's hard to find half sizes so I wanted to buy him an 11th (Weestep 10) and he's still quite roomy.
