OVERALL WINNER PSA

I burned myself on a wood stove before I bought it. Learning UGH the hard way? Some of us do. These gloves give me the confidence to get my hands back in the oven and I'm so glad they worked for me because the first time I bought the wrong size and sent them back only to have me turn around and get back in to buy a smaller size. Ladies, you must measure your hand. Little men are not what you imagine them to be. We are not men, despite what the media tells you.

These gloves do what I want.

And they don't do what I don't want. I'm a small woman with small hands and the XS is perfect for me. They're thick enough that I feel protected when I put wood in my wood stove, but not so thick that they look unwieldy. They protect my hands and the mittens protect my forearms without getting in my way. Having all of these functions in one pair of gloves after struggling with ill fitting and heavy (to me) useless gloves every time I fired my stove was a joy.

  • Tools and household goods

Great welding gloves for women

I bought these gloves to take welding classes at a local college. I was concerned they wouldn't be thick enough for MMA welding, but since we will also be using MIG and TIG I figured I could buy a second pair of electrodes if needed. Luckily the gloves were strong enough and heat resistant enough for all three processes. They are Kevlar coated and hold up very well despite my beginner habit of accidentally picking up hot parts. As a woman who wears medium-sized women's gloves, I found it very…

Pros
  • Lab, safety and work gloves
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
