Very nice welding helmet!

Very good welding helmet. It took me a while to figure out the headband adjustment but I figured it out and it fits great. All dimming options are very nice. I went through all the options and everything works fine. With an additional glass insert for the inside and an additional cover for the front. All in all a very good helmet. Highly recommended!

Lightweight Fast Welding Helmet

This is my first welding helmet. I don't think this is the best product but it is enough to protect my eyes (and the rest of my face). I've also used it for sanding and it works well for that. The helmet flexes a lot, but to be honest it's not designed to withstand a big impact. Peripheral viewing windows are good for awareness. I love that it comes with a replacement plastic case as the front end gets ruined over time. Mine was a bit difficult to adjust to my head the first time and seems to…

It takes a little time to set up, but the features are worth it.

This helmet offers a lot for the price, and with so many features, you also need to customize it. It took a few minutes of trying different things to get it set up the way I wanted, but once set up it's comfortable and stays in place. It takes a while to set up the dimming functions and everything else, but once it's done everything will work great. Make sure the timeout expires and turn it off. Protect your eyes when in doubt whether timed out and turned off. I used this with my little MIG…

Good wide screen, easy settings

My husband sometimes welds in his workshop. He's not a normal welder. It does the job very well for what it takes. The screen is good and big. He likes adjustments to set it up to fit his head well. His only problem was that the plastic flaps for it fell right onto his ears, flapping as he raised and lowered them. He loves that he can tighten the side handles in any position. So when he picks it up to look at something, it doesn't close immediately. The delay can be set up to 5 seconds…

Not your father's welding helmet

They've taken a leap forward in making these things. Before school, my father worked as a welder in a shipyard. He also had a welder at our house which luckily he got and it was cheap. And some welding helmets (we called them masks). They weren't comfortable to wear. You couldn't really see things very well. And there was a limited field of view. So I was amazed when I tried this welding helmet. Times have definitely changed. It's more convenient. protective. I can better distinguish real…

Very good vantage point but the controls aren't very good

Update. My son has had the opportunity to use this hood and reports two problems - 1, the controls are knobs in the hood. To change mode or increase/decrease lens tint, remove the hood and press the buttons on the inside of the screen. 2 - If you pause during welding, the hood will turn off automatically, and if you do not catch it, you will catch fire yourself with an arc. Subtract one star for the convenience of self-punching. The review is pleasant, the color and detail of the bead during…
