🔥 Weller W100PG Solder Stand with PH100 Holder Review

The base is identical to the one that came with my Weller WES51 (slightly different than what is pictured here at the time of writing this article). What am I happy about? This is a nice heavy and solid base with rubber feet. The holder is what is pictured and if it's hard to tell from the picture it's huge! I was hoping it would, but it's huge and almost gets in the way of the sponge. I'm sticking with my old basic soldering iron stand and using it for a cheap iron that I use for other jobs…

I was delighted to receive this soldering iron holder for my new Weller soldering iron. Unfortunately, I received an unlabeled brown box with not too impressive features. (See photos.) First of all, it doesn't look like a photo. It's heavy, so it seems solid, but there weren't any instructions on how to assemble it. It seemed pretty cut and dry but when I put the metal spool into the black piece it didn't fit. I tried using pliers but I couldn't bend it enough. I doubt anyone would need to bend

Someone wrote that they give two stars because there were no assembly instructions. I have to say if you can't figure out how it fits together then don't use the soldering iron it's holding, you're a hazard to yourself.
