Good for the price best balances and scales

Like. It's pretty good for the price. I can't compare the accuracy because I don't have anything better. What I don't like is that the draft shield is built into a plastic square that fits over the plastic ring on the scale. So it's not super secure. I only use a metal plate because there is less chance of getting hit.

Conveniently made for analytical balances

There is room for a 9V battery, but not enough room and the lid bulges outwards. Everything is cheap plastic. The scale flickers even when empty, and doesn't seem to settle for a number when weighing very light items, instead constantly bouncing up and down.

DO NOT BUY THIS SCALE!

Bought 2 of these scales in a row. Both failed after a very short time – around a week later. The attached photo shows what the display looks like after a failure. When working correctly, the display shown in the photo will quickly change to a dial display. But if that fails, the rendered image is all you get. The scales are sold in several retail outlets, but are most likely from the same manufacturer - probably in China. Don't waste money. I bought a cheap scale with similar specs after it…
