These items reduce the light output of a light bulb by 20% - 25%. The instructions that came with it indicate that this is normal. My flashlights will not accept a 150 watt bulb to make up for the lost light. This should be noted in the description! waste of money!

Writing negative reviews is not my forte but this product does not work as described. If the lightbulb is lit, then hardly. I can't use it and don't even know if I'll donate it as it would just frustrate someone else. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't have done less. This product was a waste of money. I was cheated on.

Maybe they work better in summer when the sun is brighter. In cloudy winter they do not work at all! Since we leave work in the dark and return home in the dark, I was hoping I could leave the porch light on all the time so it could turn off during the short hours of the day. Right now the light is on all the time. I think it was worth trying. UPDATE: They don't work for squats. waste of money!

At first they just made my bulbs flicker like a party light - the sensor is too sensitive and switches on and off quickly and emits light which turns the bulb off and then spins quickly off and on again a few times. I had to modify them a bit by adding 3 layers of white tape over the sensor to keep them from flickering/flashing. Now they work great but I will have to change the tape from time to time as they are installed outdoors.

It's normal but not great. The reason is quite simple: even in daylight, when it's not too bright, the light continues, albeit in the form of faint light (not bright). On a positive note, even in the desert summer heat it works without melting like some of the others I've tried at Revain. If you're not too bothered by partially lit lights for most of the day, this can be recommended. I also have to say that I only tried it with incandescent bulbs. Thank you for reading.
