This ball was perfect for my son who missed school due to the recent pandemic. Since we got the ball we've managed to get it out of the electronics so it can have some fun outside. Note that it doesn't come with a pole, but you can just tie it to any pole and it works great. Overall, this is a great product and a fun way to get kids moving again.

It's definitely "you get what you pay for". Ordered towards the end of June, in less than 3 months the ball faded and cracked (we bought a green ball). Today the rope couldn't take it anymore and broke. We will invest in a better set next year. DO NOT buy this for the playground or if you need a durable set of tetherballs that you will play with every day. It won't last.

Arrived quicker than expected, enough rope for my 10ft pole. One family ripped the rope off the ball and we were able to re-tie it without worrying about going too high / having to change rope. when he gets there. Also, I love him, have been beating him to death for 2-3 weeks now with no problems.

The ball appears to be well constructed. The rope is very long so you can adjust it to a length that is comfortable for you. I rent so didn't want to dig and set the post in the ground so I built the post from an old truck tire, 3 bags of concrete, 2 12" rebar, an 8ft fence post with a cap and an eye bolt with 2 washers and 2 bolts was about $35 for everything. worth every penny, kids love it. hours of fun

This ball may be fine indoors, but outside as you can see in the photo the color started to fade after just a week. Then, just three months later, the cord frayed and broke. We bought the purple version which I don't see listed anymore. While this color was prone to fading, that's no excuse for the cord to fall apart in the sun. Didn't cut anything, just fell apart. This ball was only used by the grandchildren on weekends. I will not buy this brand again.

So the kennel where I usually land my dogs had the exact same leash ball and my dogs liked it - but - I guess I didn't pay attention to the exact height above the ground that they had installed . My dogs bit into it quickly and now the ball is fried. I was able to fix 4 holes but shortly after the repair the dogs quickly dug a new hole. I'm sure it will take years and years. A good product is an ignorant consumer. I have since purchased a tethered ball designed for dogs. Let's see how it holds…

*** LATEST UPDATE *** Western Star Balls offers a full refund. So in the end the ball isn't very good, but the company did everything right.
