Westinghouse 6342200 Scholar One Light Semi Flush Review

While I like the look of this light, I don't like the quality. The included screws weren't cut deep enough and barely held the mount. Since this was a new installation, we didn't have the hardware from the old fixture to use in its place. I really hope it doesn't collapse one day.

Bought this and a bright LED bulb to replace the old fluorescent light above the dining area in our caravan. It's small and fits perfectly in the space. I bought an oiled polished bronze finish and applied Rub n Buff in aged gold to match our gold hardware. Works perfectly and suits my style.

Ordered this to replace the main chain light in my dressing room. It's the perfect size for a closet and is very well made. The color is more black than bronze, but that doesn't bother me as it blends in well with the room. Installation was easy and I would recommend this light to anyone looking to light up a small space.

I have three of these and they work great. I have a large closet, large master bedroom dressing room and laundry room, all beautifully lit. The only downside is that the base is a lot smaller than my other lights so the color/ring difference is visible compared to the old lights, but when the light is on you can't even see that part of the ceiling.

I had a vision of the light I wanted over our sink and when I saw that my vision would cost a few hundred dollars, I decided to develop creativity. A little spray paint and tape on this inexpensive contraption did the trick. This is a great price and a light that differs from what you see in other homes. It's cute and doesn't scream out any particular trend. They are tasteful and timeless. The base was narrower than the existing one so as an easy fix we had to buy medallions to cover the hole. The base is about 4.5 inches wide and the opening in the ceiling is slightly larger. Ceiling lights can be a real hassle to install - it always feels like you need an extra pair of hands to get the job done. This light was pretty simple.
