Strong sturdy but mold ring with it.

Simple assembly and screwing. Very strong and durable. But be sure to buy a form ring with it as you may need to adjust the {cut drywall} hole for a perfect fit.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

not the one you want

This is not the one you want. It has two huge bolts that will drive deep into your rafters when hand tightened. The screws hold the bracket in place. Get one with a threaded rod that twists to expand and cut into the tree.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some flaws

Doesn't work with wooden I-beams

My house has wooden I-beams throughout the building. The mount didn't fit at all and required A LOT of work and additional fixings to fit on the ceiling. This ONLY works with standard beams.

  • New
Cons

Your products on the market are better than this one

This product sucks, it's hard to install and hard to fix the metal screw that won't move it, do yourself a favor buy one It has a screw in the middle of the tube for adjustment, when it's fully extended it won't go back. Very disappointed with this Westinghouse product.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • No performance

Very reliable on lamps and ceiling fans

Very strong and durable. My studs were only 13 inches apart so I had to use a hacksaw and cut them out which was excruciating but easier than trying to get into the store during lockdown! I actually had access to the attic so I installed it from the top, but it seems trying to install it from the bottom might be a problem. It is mounted very solidly and the fan does not move an inch in height.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Faulty

Great ceiling fan mount

Great mount. The only thing I had was that I had access to it because otherwise I don't know if I can tighten it through a small hole or if you have to cut drywall, but that's the whole point of buying one of these. I just want the mounting bar to be wrench shaped so you can tighten it with a tool instead of your bare hand. 4 stars from me. only because it is difficult to fix it in a really nice and fixed position with bare hands through a small hole.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Westinghouse Ceiling Fan Bracket

my technician had to disassemble the bracket to fit it between the ceiling joists but after that there were no problems installing it, the screws in the fan bracket didn't seem to fit at first but after some manipulation it did he tightened them up and after that everything went fine, it was the first strut he ever saw with screws on the ends to attach it to the joists. I think most have springs so I think it will hold up better because of this, good product!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Available for replacement

Knowing when to get ready: Lighting and ceiling fans

Very durable and will withstand any light or fan I've ever used in my home. I ended up installing it in the attic instead of going through the ceiling. My house was built in the early 1970's by carpenters who took pride in using lots of large nails to attach electrical boxes. The hole was large enough to pull out the cables and there was no room to pry open the well-protected metal box. I was using a 2x4 and a hammer until my wife walked in and yelled at the mess the popcorn blanket was making…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works as advertised but beware of sensible pitfalls

Device works as advertised but there are a few issues. You need to make sure your hole has some spacing between the joists. There may be a problem with the pen sensor. Insulation in the attic can get in the way, so keep that in mind, especially if it's blown. It was real pain. I used an existing lamp hole that was only 3" in diameter and needed a 4" diameter hole so your application may need to be cut. Since it was an existing mount, the old mount had to come out. It was some work, but I used a

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
