I have a much older Westmark egg slicer, still in great condition and working, as he should. I use it a lot and have also used it on strawberries but I don't think I would use it on mushrooms. Westmark's new egg slicer was bought as a gift and the couple who received it loved it.

This is a top quality cut! It's easy to use and store, and the metal teeth go through eggs like butter. UPDATE: Unfortunately after a year the finish was peeling and starting to rust making a full clean difficult. While there was nothing wrong with this slicer, I didn't expect it to last more than a year or so.

This slicer works great. The benefit of using it instead of a regular kitchen knife is that it cuts both the yellow and white parts to the same size. The wires are sharp enough to cut through boiled eggs without crushing them. It is easy to clean and looks strong and durable. The plastic loop feels comfortable.
