I bought a truck with aftermarket wheels and the lugs on it didn't leave much room for the socket to fit the hole to remove. At 3/4 ton they are pretty tight and I didn't think the thin walled rosette would last long. Because they are slotted, they don't take up much space in the hole. They also look very good with the style of the wheels on the truck.
