One was broken - tire repair tools

The wire/rod connecting the pressure valve in the middle was sticking out too far on one of them preventing me from using the chuck to inflate the tire. The other was perfect. So I spent $20 on a valve extender :(

Pros
  • hands free operation
Cons
  • working speed

Wheelmasters 4 " Straight Valve Extenders

I put these on my RV tires and I'm glad I did. Doesn't matter! You no longer have to break your back to get to the valve stems .Very well made with solid brass plating and brass caps.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Different from the original 4 inch drive I had.

The worn originals were strong and easy to install and remove. Double tires for assembly, as these are in two parts and must be dismantled in reverse order.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Base required

Best Value Tire and Wheel Tool

Purchased for use on the inside twin wheels of a 43ft RV. The extension of these valves did not have a flat position or a place to attach a wrench. I had to tighten it with pliers. When attaching, be careful not to scratch or damage. The rest is OK.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Some Imperfections

Good money wasted!

I really needed this for the rear wheels on my dual. Unfortunately, when I woke up in the apartment, I found that one of the gaskets at the junction of this product was leaking. After I had to take the wheel off to fix the puncture, the technician showed me with the wheel submerged that it was indeed the extension that was the problem. I suspect poor quality control.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Bad seal design. waste of money. Avoid this product!

They come with a small rubber O-ring on the female end. After a single installation, the o-ring will collapse and fall out freely if the extension is removed for any reason. I can't even use or trust this part to keep air pressure right on my double RVs. I have too much weight and pressure to rely on this carelessly bad design. Other extensions (Slime and Pacific Dualies) use a flat, reusable elastomer that has a much better positive seal design. I am very disappointed in this Wheel Masters…

Pros
  • Economical
Cons
  • Large and bulky
