Description of Powerful Wheelock WHTB-593 Alarm Bell

Attention-getting telephone alerts designed for use in noisy locations and/or for medium. Typical applications would be factories, repair shops, printing shops, loading platforms, and warehouses. Uses a durable, high torque, permanent magnet motor-driven mechanism and 6" low frequency aluminum bell shell to produce a higher sound output and lower resonant frequency than conventional mechanical bells. Includes an extremely adjustable, tamper-resistant volume control, and are designed for both indoor and outdoor applications. Perfect for both Indoor or Outdoor applications.

Wheelock Bell WHTB-593

Modern phones are not equipped with very loud bells. When my husband works in his shop, he doesn't hear a call if he has a grinder, welder, or other machine operating. It doesn't help that he's also becoming a little hard of hearing. We bought this dialer and are satisfied. He has a nice loud call that he can hear through devices that can work.

We don't miss any more calls

It's loud. We had several buzzers and bells in our factory. The very old one we bought from Bell Telephone during the dinosaur era was very loud, the loudest of them all, really industrial. When it finally broke, we went through a bunch of devices from different companies, all of which were unusable and caused us to miss numerous phone calls. But this bell can be here. It sounds a little odd and a little disconcerting, but you can actually hear it, and that's the point.

Cons

Loud enough for production.

This bell is nice and loud for working next to two large CNC machines and Kaeser compressors. I have the ringer volume set to maximum as it is installed on panels throughout the store. The included screws and RJ-11 connector made it easy to mount to a Superstrut mount I made for hanging on the wall. They require an RJ-11 voice cable and should be hung vertically for best performance. I have this paired with a Grandstream HT-802 ATA in a ring group for my Polycom desk phone which I cannot hear…

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.
