Overall this is a quality tool. I've used it several times and it works great. The grip feels bulletproof and does a good job of minimizing impact. The color is unmistakable. The steel used seems sufficiently hardened to minimize facet distortion. One note I have about this type of tool is that if you place it handle up, it will always fall down. This seems to be a problem that is easy to solve.

I liked my Wilton sledgehammer as it worked exceptionally well so I bought another weight from them. The grips are incredibly smooth and absorb some of the hammer hits. Since the handles are not made of wood, they will not warp or break over time. Steel heads are strong, today they do not have cracks and chips. I used them in an open agate mine where I removed large rocks by splitting them with a hammer and chisel. These are by far the best hammers I have ever used. I've read other reviews that
