I love these boards although I wouldn't use them as plates for my cake as it's just corrugated board. They are not covered with foil covering the cardboard on the sides. I use them to make fondant cake bases. I fill and line my cake with buttercream on the board and then cut the board to the top of the cake and then cover it with fondant which I then glue onto a stronger finished cake board.

To be honest. For what they are I really feel they should be cheaper. Still, they're very good, but they're just cardboard. This is thick cardboard (hard to cut even with good scissors), but still just cardboard. They look good and the tops were lovely and spotless so overall I can't complain. I like these cake circles as they are grease resistant, cakes don't stain the surface of the white fluted circles so they stay nice and clean which is a great deal is better alternative than regular white cake circles. "Wilton 12" Cake Circles are the perfect surface for resting cakes, although they are not very strong they do provide some support, make sure your hands are under the cake circle to hold the cake securely , otherwise it can quickly bend, and you lose your cake, I've seen it…
