Our bathtub drain plug closes but we have a small leak that drains half the water out of the tub when you take a long bath so thought I would to attempt. I checked it twice and it kept all the water in the tub and sealed my drain very well. Not a drop came out. It also stayed in place when filling the tub. I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this because my parents didn't have a drain plug in the bathtub. Also because I'm notorious for finding a spider in my bathtub! So I use these (with their handy suction brush) to close the drain and reduce the risk of finding new spiders. The only downside is that the suction isn't strong when there's no water in the tub (which I think is irrelevant for most). I bought a pair of these bath stoppers to use over the sinks in two bathrooms in my house. It has a clean and refreshing look.
