🍳 Optimized Winco APL 11 Aluminum Sizzling Platter Review

I don't know how I lived without them for so many years. The only thing that takes longer is my universal baking scraper. (Which I use every day for pretty much everything. And I haven't baked in 25 years!) We use them to heat up breakfast for early risers and they almost never seem to get cleaned. We have two of these and they are in constant rotation. Definitely one of those things that you can't believe you've ever been without once you have them.

Handy size for preparing or heating up two different meals. Hand wash retains the shine very well. They only lasted a week, we'll see how they hold up with longer use. Would buy them again. The only problem is that they are aluminum so they can get a little scratched in transit. The shipper needs to rethink packaging. Even just a piece of packing foam around them. I think it's best to order one at a time as two or more can rub and scratch each other.

What can you say about the metal plate? It doesn't have to look pretty, it has to be useful in the kitchen. I've used them for nachos and it worked great, the nachos slid onto the serving platter instantly with no oil or cooking spray on the sizzling platter. However, when I threw them in the dishwasher, they didn't look good. But then again, they're made to be workhorses in a busy kitchen, not to look pretty. They are meant for cooking, not for serving.
