This side table, which I use as a bedside table, made a good impression on me. Luckily there were no problems with delivery or breakage. It's heavy and durable, definitely over 50% wood. I noted other reviews who took great care to color the trim and protect the baskets from scratches on the shelf. For the price this is a decent item. The paintwork was even, it's heavy wood and extra screws were included in case I lost them (which I've done on other pieces of furniture in the past...Nice touch). I had read other reviews about this product that were very negative, so I was a little hesitant to order it. Many reviews are sad that assembly was a "nightmare". However, I have no idea why! It took me less than 15 minutes to unpack all the styrofoam packaging, vacuum and then assemble and clean! The only reason I have not returned this item is that it is not worth the hassle as the packaging was very heavy and the packaging was very dirty. When I first opened the box it looked like my mice had chewed on it. or a small dog, there was a styrofoam package that also burst from static electricity in my living room, covering everything. It was so messy that I had to try to minimize the mess by turning off all airflow in the room and using a vacuum to remove each piece individually. Needless…
