Espresso 3-Tier Wide Winsome Terrace Storage Shelf, 26-Inch Review

This shelf was one of the simplest and very strong. Baskets are excellent and overall I like this product. So why did I only give 2 stars? Stinks horribly! It has a very strong chemical odor that cannot be ignored. I assembled the device yesterday and my house is still reading 24 hours later with the windows open. If you're considering this piece, this is a very good piece, but open the box outdoors and let the pieces air out.

It was the perfect size to add storage to my living room. Deducted two stars because the finish is chipping the edges due to the baskets sliding in and out, but I just bought a furniture scratch repair pen to help hide damage. The baskets had what my husband called an odd smell, but it went away after a few months. This works better against a wall as the baskets don't have stops, they slide out from the back very easily.

Love it! This is perfect for landing at the bottom of my stairs. There is a small dent on the edge of the shelf (see photo) which I corrected with a marker. The only thing that worries me are the baskets. They seem to peel off a bit when I take them out of the box... I hope they last! I plan that they will benefit a lot from it. If I were to buy again I would buy it without the baskets and go to the store to buy the exact baskets I wanted.

The painting was awful! The very visible edges of the middle shelf were almost white, but that didn't make up for the fact that this item smelled TERRIBLE! It took almost two hours for the horrible chemical smell to go out of my house and I had to take it outside as my pregnant wife had a headache. Some reviews say to air it out for two weeks, but even if it doesn't smell, the terrible quality of the paint/stain on the shelves is enough to make me not keep this item.

Some junk. There are small scratches all over the packaging. There is a more obvious scratch on the middle shelf (pictured). The bottom shelf split when the camlock on the back corner was hand tightened. The grooves on the back don't match. It's wobbly and dusty compared to anything I've bought from Revain before (photos taken after it's been rubbed down once). Cute little bookshelf! It was bigger than we thought, probably based on a rough estimate next to the wall. However, we love it! I docked the star because it has a SUPER strong chemical smell.
