Essential in cold weather

I bought these because I ride year round here in Florida. We do have the occasional cold snap during the winter months and most gloves you'll buy here aren't designed to keep your hands warm when driving outside of a closed car. Another reason I bought them was the price. Much cheaper than the ones Harley Davidson sells. You didn't disappoint us. Since the purchase I have been on several trips where the temperature has been in the 40s. These gloves withstood such temperatures without any…

Good gloves for cold and wet weather

Gloves work well for city driving in temperatures below 30 degrees Fahrenheit (or 0 degrees Celsius) and keep fingers warm. The lowest temperature I used was around -12C and my toes stayed flexible for 20-30 minutes. I used them during a thunderstorm and they hold water for about 20 minutes. One small point - the color seems uneven, I have 3-4 "white spots" near the wrists. There is no size listed for these gloves, so I used the XXL size, which is also available on Gore running gloves.

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Protection

The gloves are a bit tight on the palm which makes them difficult to put on and take off except on the fingers are like a inches too long. Buy a size smaller than usual if you have thinner hands and fingers, but if you have thicker hands and fingers you might want to consider something else. The cuffs of the jacket are easy to close, which is very important to protect your hands from cold air. The zip and velcro closures at the wrists are a nice touch, but it can get frantic to put on and take…

Good buy Clothes in clothes

Worthy gloves for the price. Fingers and thumbs are a bit longer, but that doesn't bother us. The leather is not of the highest quality in my opinion, but the gloves work in the 40's with the lining in place. I've never had a glove, even in my 40's, that kept my fingers completely warm for any length of time. The cuff is the only reason I bought the gloves. The sleeve of my thick leather jacket fits perfectly and is snug. Other gloves had air rushing down my arm, so these gloves work like a…

They run too big on clothes

The feature that caught my attention is the zipper on the glove that allows it to be expanded. I have another pair of leather gloves that are very difficult to slip over the cuffs of my leather riding jacket. These gloves appear to be of good quality but they are large. I measured my hand and ordered size L based on the size chart. When I received them and tried them on, I found I could pinch a good 3/4 inch of extra material on the side of my hand. These are motorcycle gloves and should fit…

NOT good for cold weather riding

I came across these gloves while looking for cold weather gloves and bought them based on the good reviews. I don't know what temperature everyone else rides in, but when I say COLD (e.g. January in New York), I mean 16 degrees plus a cold wind. When these gloves arrived and I tried them on for the first (and last) time, it was 36 degrees. After driving 15 minutes my fingers were numb and when I got home after 30 minutes driving I was afraid that I would lose a few fingers to frostbite. It can…
