Great mounting if your car is designed for it. In my dashboard, this bracket is impractical. It's mounted on an air vent, but that's not the best place for it, plus it wobbles from side to side. I try to use it occasionally. Works well when you don't have your phone in a protective mount and when your car has a convenient place to mount it. Saw it in action in my daughter's Subaru and had to have it. Unfortunately, Chevrolet Equinox is not designed for this.

I was so excited but quickly became disillusioned. You cannot use this with a phone case. The arms aren't strong enough to hold a large, full-size phone. Unless you have flat vents that don't move, you're wasting all your time adjusting this thing. Lever, housing and bracket made of very cheap thin plastic. The hands will open randomly and drop your phone. For what I paid I was expecting plastic, but an excess of plastic and no need to remove the phone case for my hands to try and hold it.

I had a few problems with the first charger/cradle. It couldn't hold my iPhone in the case and it randomly opened and closed while driving which was very distracting as my phone fell out. However the customer service was excellent, they sent me a new one about a month ago and it holds my phone; business and everything; and loads and holds up pretty well too. This is the second product of this type that I have purchased. This one worked much better as it was more powerful, charged well and was faster than the previous one I bought. Of the minuses - I worked for a week, and then stopped loading. The handles open and close without any problems, but they no longer charge. When I first received this phone mount I was amazed at how clean it looked and how the side tabs come together with assembly gestures. I quickly got used to the aesthetics, but I wasn't satisfied with the functionality. Trying to properly mount this thing onto the vent blades was excruciating, and even then it didn't stay properly secured. It also doesn't hold the phone tightly with the side arms.
