It just works! - Electrical

I love simplicity. It just works. Use of Sonoff switches for the sprinkler system as well as the pool pump. In this application I am using a switch to trigger a relay. It's probably not a good idea to put the full current through a switch. The integration with Google is the most important thing for me.

It only works in electrics

I installed it from the main switch box to control some signal lights in the yard. Works very well, assembly without problems. Installation was hampered a bit by the fact that it's difficult to accept the standard hard Romex - it took a little persuading, but it handles everything perfectly.

DIY mode DOES NOT WORK!

I bought this specifically for the claimed DIY support. The device works, we are eWeLink and I updated the firmware to 3.3.0. I then put on a DIY jumper and set my AP's SSID to "sonofDiy" and password to "20170618sn" according to the Tasmota docs and nothing I did allowed Sonoff to connect to my AP. I first tried using a Samsung Galaxy S8 mobile hotspot (making sure it was set to 2.4GHz) as well as an 802.11bgn hotspot - neither worked. Also, eWeLink "LAN mode" doesn't work after 5 power…
