Wiring PJS264W Decorator Screwless Wallplate Review

Love it. I've bought several other brands and this is the only one that has a panel that wraps around the sides so you can't see the base panel (in my attached picture this brand is the left one). There's another brand that does this too, but they have a rib so it's not as clean. I will switch everything to this brand. they are also cheaper. :-)

Overall good for the price. The shipment arrived quickly despite not being sent by Revain but just a piece wrapped in plastic. Ease of installation. As a result, it won't sit flush with the wall, especially if you install it on a series of Smart Switches. It suits me as the back panel is not in bad condition. It's not that big either, it's a regular size, but I like it. Like the design.

These are good things; and I really like that they fit so snugly against the wall - better than the Lutron in my opinion. The problem is that they are very shiny; and you can't get a satin finish like Lutrons. I will be using them in certain rooms but will wait until I get Lutron satin for our more commonly used living spaces. Again, my only downside is the sheen - otherwise I really like them (and they're easier to install than any I've used in the last 40 years).

This replaces Decora's quad wall plate which uses screws and looks much better. I like the square edges over the beveled edges and it looks clean and tidy. The plastic isn't as strong as I expected and I was afraid it would break if I separated the two pieces, but it didn't. The complaint is that it's a bit smaller with less room under the lid and one of my switches doesn't fit perfectly on it. There is a gap of 2mm. But it's not very visible in my setup.

This screwless switch looks great! I was a bit hesitant because of the low price. For other screwless switch plates I've paid 2-3 times more than they were "branded". I like the way they look but it would be quite expensive to do all the switches in my house. So I thought I'd try these out. They look great and are almost as good as the others. They don't seem to snap into place as tightly as name tags, but they work really well. Great for the price and I would buy again.

This wall panel looks great and is extremely easy to install. 4 can be a little tricky, so just leave the switch screws loose enough to sit in the bracket. Slightly tighten the bracket from the inside and come out first (at least this worked best for me since I installed a fan timer and dimmer. They have larger mounting plates than regular rocker switches so everything was a little tighter). The bracket has holes for you to tighten the switches once everything is lined up and aligned. When the painters closed the covers on all my sockets a few years ago, they used a cordless drill and split them badly. I never replaced them. Now that I'm painting the house again I'm going to replace all the finishes with these. You look good. They're easy to install and won't break if you use a cordless drill. I have a wall that is slightly rounded and flexible enough to fit well. Some of my original (not this brand) cymbals have turned yellow. I hope that this material does not yellow. So…

My 4 speed shifter plate looked a little too 'busy' with eight screws around the perimeter, especially after our renovation - we decided to try this screwless plate and ended up buying screwless plates for all ours Sockets and switches! Such an easy upgrade - anything that's recessed can be adjusted once the backplate is installed (adjust the screws on your switches or sockets to raise them so they're flush with the front).
