Suitable for associated devices

Ideal for permanent home or car scanners. Not recommended for portable IE scanners: (Home Patrol 1 and 2) Reception will be worse or not at all.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Secret

Excellent reception quality for CB radios and two-way radios

The reception properties are very good for the size of this device, thanks to this antenna I can receive signals up to a distance of 80 km with my scanner in front of my bedroom window.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Almost nothing starts

This antenna is terrible. Terrible reception for my police and fire scanner. Doesn't even catch the weather channel. The only positive is the length of the cable. UPDATE: Antenna works much better now. For me, all I had to do was turn off the squelch completely. Now it works great!

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Not sure

It does not work. Don't waste your time or money.

DID NOT WORK. the reception was better with the standard antenna, the local weather station couldn't get in at all, i set the channel for the weather channel, nothing at all, exchanged the standard antenna, it's clear as day. returned the same day. DO NOT WASTE your time or money. Other channels could not be switched on either. checks all connections to make sure everything is good and secure.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • silent

Horrible Scanner Mag Mount Antenna

Antenna gave almost no reception. I hooked up my scanner to check radio traffic on the way to work and barely got a full NOAA weather station. When I got very close to the relay, I hardly heard any public safety news. I have better reception with the standard antenna. Don't waste money on it. Take a closer look at the scanner's other antenna.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Doubtful

Very poor performance at 2 meters

I could not connect a repeater less than 5 miles away with this antenna. At the same point, the repeater was completely muted using the handheld's rubber ducky. With the help of a local radio amateur I was able to try out three different magnetic antennas. Building on that, I ordered the Comet SBB-1, which was launched in . I also tried the wlaniot magnetic mount with an antenna from an old PDA using a PL-239 BNC adapter. Performance with this setup was much better than with wlaniot. I have…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues
