Wolff's Carbon Pencil Set (442159): Premium Sketching Tools for Artists and Creatives Review

In my opinion the best pencils for every skill level. Intense, dark, matte black without the shine of graphite through to light, clean lines. As with most traditional media, a harder press is easier to erase. It blends very easily and is typed without excessive rash. These are my stocks and I'm sad that there aren't many stores near me that carry them!

If you are looking for charcoal pencils that combine the best qualities of graphite and carbon then this is NOT what you are looking for. Lyra Rembrandt charcoal pencils are just what you need. It is not. They behave just like charcoal pencils. They smear terribly, and that's not at all what you'd expect from a charcoal pencil. False advertising. Save your money and just buy a cheap charcoal pencil instead. What a waste.

I'm not a fan of charcoal and used the black Mars Lumograph then tried these! These pencils give the black you want without the mess. I'm definitely obsessed with these and have just ordered a few more to make sure I have my supply! They are not as smooth as graphite so shading large areas is rough but blends very well! I took a photo to show the richness of 6B compared to black 8B Mars. That really speaks for itself.

I have been using Wolff's Carbons pencils for over 45 years and was glad I was able to order them online from Revain.com as I am now in my 70's and found it difficult to figure out , go to the store. I treat them like delicate treasure because the charcoal can break if dropped on an uncarpeted surface and I do not give them to anyone under the age of proper care.
