It can be applied lightly to the lips and lightly physically scrub dry, dead, scaly skin. I wouldn't do this too often, just as you don't want to overdo it on your face/body, but do exfoliate your lips from time to time. It has a really neutral sweet taste, but I don't recommend eating it. I am very happy with it; use as instructed.
