After a little adjustment it worked great for beveling and planing small bars of soap. I had to adjust the blade to straighten it and had a hard time cutting the sides of the bar until I cleaned the edge with a stone. But for the price it couldn't be better. This ensures a clean, consistent bevel every time. It would be nice if the blade could be adjusted a little more easily, but otherwise no complaints.
