This is my first time trying teak bowls. I'm surprised to learn how sensitive they are. After hand washing, they must be dried immediately and not air dried according to the care instructions. These are very nice bowls and I know I will enjoy using them, but they do need care. They are more of a decorative element! However, I am happy with them.

My parents grew up in the mid 20th century and growing up, beautiful, warm, exotic teak furniture was the mid-century modern choice for the whole home (the same teak used to build deck yachts like this one are so impervious to water). My family would love these delicate and classic bowls for the same reasons - the aesthetics of the most majestic of natural wood combined with durable functionality.
