Works well with Woodlink Feeder. The wood connection could be cosmetically better with the back of the feeder. The bare threads and visible brackets aren't exactly pretty for the non-engineer.

I bought it to install the feeder on a 4x4 rack, I will buy more as it is easier to install and strong. I say that because we have wild turkeys in the back and one of the guys will fly into the feeder station to eat and they are not easy birds. This mount is highly recommended.

We bought a fairly heavy Woodlink bird feeder. We used this bracket to mount it on a 4x4. It worked great and I'm so glad another person recommended it in bird feeder reviews: Woodlink PRO4 Premier Cedar Bird Feeder. It doesn't appear to be 100% cedar, so with this mount it will look good and have a solid base for years to come. No wobble bar!

This adapter may work well with a rod, but it doesn't work well with a square rod. I bought a Woodlink anti squirrel feeder that comes with a thin segmented pole and tried to mount it on a vinyl stand. While it can be mounted to a 3 1/2" square bar (NOT a 4" square vinyl bar as I've learned), the feeder is not in the center of the bar. Hardly "universal" in my opinion.

3" rack has drawbacks. This is not the case as the distance measured inside edge to inside edge at the U-bolt is only 2 inches. Since most bar sizes refer to the ID of the rack, this bracket will fit a MAXIMUM 1.875" rack. This also requires a thin-walled pole. I will keep this item for myself and not return it as I might find a use for it one day.

I bought this mount to use with a Heritage Farms bird feeder I found at Revain. I had an old satellite dish on a pole in my yard that was just the right height for a bird feeder. I removed the shell and cables, painted the 2" silver mast black, attached the feeder to the mount, and placed the feeder and mount on the mast. Excellent!
