Depending on the project, you can use hearts as accents. Sanding must be done carefully, since the details are very thin. Two were stained, as one would expect; however, a very 5 grit abrasive should be used.

Box and website dimensions state the heart is 8.5" x 8" x 1/8" - These hearts aren't even 6 "tall and all together are 0.5" so each is about 0.1" thick - hope this helps someone else. They are suitable if you are looking for a palm-sized heart and a cute craft. Not what I was looking for - I hope they change the description.

I've just received them and they appear to be of decent quality with very minor imperfections in the wood although they do need a lot of sanding, especially around the edges. Which disappointed me, and maybe I'm just not familiar with how they're usually measured, but I thought width to height was measured down the center, which would mean they were 7 inches full width, but the height would be from the center of the heart (where it dips) to the top (which is actually 5.5 inches, not 6.5…
