Type of review

I received this item in exchange for my honest review of the Revain Vine program. The Pure Athlete Store seller lists them as "Pure Athlete Compression Wool-Tech Ski Socks - Men's Winter Cold Weather Snowboarding Socks". I just love how these socks fit and feel during my morning walk. It was a cool 35 degrees today and it was just the right amount to add some warmth and also give my feet some compression energy. They are large and perfect for my height 10ft. Photo 1 shows the 3rd pair with the…

Fur. Not as good as other ski socks made in China.

I bought these for the obvious merino content as my feet are often cold and wet. Merino is great for moisture management and of course warmth. This? Not as much. There's no real padding on the shins, heels, and toes (okay, there's a lot of padding) and the material is a lot thinner than usual or what I like. They're a far cry from Darn Tough socks. Also, the color of the stripes is definitely green, not yellow. At least they're marked for right and left, so that's a plus, right? I'm just…

WARM compression socks.

Full confession - I wear these and other "sports compression stockings" on a daily basis instead of "medical compression stockings". with hematopoiesis. They feel great and look good enough! They are not designed to survive extreme sub-zero temperatures, but are much better suited to the cold than regular thin compression socks. As long as you can handle wool (my wife can't), these might be just the winter socks you're looking for. The price for three packs seems good!

Good socks but NOT "compression " socks

I like these socks but was disappointed that they are not "compression" socks as advertised. They fit snugly, as knee-highs should, but barely meet the definition of compression stockings. They are well made, fit well and keep feet warm in cold weather.

Pros
  • Easy to fit
Cons
  • Doubtful

Excellent compression for on the go.

First of all they are black and neon green, not neon yellow as advertised. It's ok if you really don't want yellow. My husband says they are really good and fit comfortably with great compression when walking. Not too tight, not too loose. They warm and feel good in cold weather. The price is right and I recommend a three pack.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • There are problems
