failed or doomed

this was exactly what i needed. However, the protective cover on the socket of the connector was not secured, exposing all wires and solder joints. I found that one or more connections were faulty when plugged in, and I had a constant loud noise when I turned on the mic. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only one on the market.

Pros
  • quality construction
Cons
  • no automatic

Complete garbage! in CB and talkback radios

I should have listened to the other reviewers! This cable is complete junk: the rubber boot on one end had a large gap between the connector exposing bare wires and solder points on the elements! The other end of the cable has been damaged, probably by the tools connecting the connector, exposing the bare wires! I will not return it because the shipping is too big but be careful and DO NOT buy it!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

QC required

I had to take it apart immediately because 2 pins in the L connector were shorted. When I opened it up a very small strand of one of the wires was floating and causing the problem. The shrink tubing at the end of the outlet also comes loose easily (especially if the wire is bent). You really need to wrap that heat shrink tubing around the metal base of the actual end of the mic jack to prevent this.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Available in white only

This was the only right angle CB cable I could find and it broke the first time I used it on four wheels on the trail. All the shaking up and down resulted in the neck being snapped. My friend reinforced the new one I bought with some badly soiled plastic gasket and a zip tie and it survived the second off-road ride. My other suggestion is that it should turn left or right, or have a hard left corner option as well. I need a left corner, which is probably why it rubbed my setup until it broke…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Went like clockwork. then BROKE

UPDATE: After ONE 5 day trip, the extension cord broke. The end where the mic connects also has a non-pinching rubber boot that keeps slipping down exposing the wires. After no response from other CB users I looked down and saw that 2 of the 4 wires had come loose from the plug leaving me without a CB for the rest of my trip. At first glance it seemed like a great product, but it didn't last with normal use. I asked for a refund/exchange and was told I would have to pay for the return postage…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

It works, it would be nice if the cable was about twice as long.

The cord isn't quite long enough to go where I wanted, but overall it's still good. As for durability, I don't know. One thing is for sure, if you don't mount the connector where the mic plugs into the cable, it won't hold. It is not meant to be dragged or dragged. I think the pin end that you plug the mic into is meant to be plugged into a panel or held in place in some way. UPDATE: As you can see from the free photos, this works well. The mounting bracket can be used above or below the radio…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different
