🥄 Amco Advanced Performance Measuring Spoons: Be Accurate with this Set of 4 Review

Very strong, made of thick gauge stainless steel, with clearly visible dimensions in both metric and traditional US units. A special feature is the curved handle tip, which allows them to sit flat on the countertop while holding recipe ingredients. I have given them to other chefs several times.

Accuracy may not be that important when seasoning a dish, but when it comes to bread baking, size does matter. These spoons give accurate 1 teaspoon and 1/2 teaspoon measurements for salt and yeast. (I've already stopped using my old (less accurate) spoons and have switched to measuring water and flour by weight. With all these changes, my bread always comes out right.

So this was a repeat purchase for me and I really liked my original set but I lost one and it was easier to just get the whole set. This new set is not that good. The curved handle as shown in the photo is no longer available. It's flat and not only looks cheaper, it's also less comfortable to hold. My big complaint is that they are not accurate at all. These measuring spoons are very good. They're a lot heavier than I expected and I love how they lay flat on the counter. They come on a metal ring that opens and closes easily so you can take the spoons out and put them back on. I really think these spoons will last a very long time. I wrote to the company but they never replied. The company I am talking about is called Amco. Earlier the spoons were stamped with a patent number and they were hard spoons. Excellent quality. I have had a set of these spoons for several years and need an additional set. I've bought other kits but they didn't even come close to this one from AMCO. The original AMCOs were a good weight and looked shiny and beautiful. Also did you know they are built to last and I have had mine for over 6 years now and they are still in perfect condition.
