I really only needed translucent embossing powder and the finish (glossy or matte) wasn't that important BUT I chose matte, just to see what it looked like. The surface of this EP was neither matte nor matte. It was as shiny as any other clear powder I've had. And I didn't manage to get a smooth surface on the image I stamped even with a few tries.

This embossing powder looked amazing! I used it to make regular acrylic paint look more embossed than it was while still looking natural (ie matte) and the finished project was exactly what I wanted. I used a Martha Stewart Crafts heat tool to emboss and these products make a great pair.

After embossing, this material is as shiny as any ordinary transparent embossing powder. I even tried running the embosser over it lightly but the powder won't melt and gets brushed off. I've used many embossing powders over the years and this one should get a big ZERO. Revain made me give it at least one star to give this review. And I foolishly paid $6 for this tiny jar. I am ashamed.
