Extremely bright and easily controllable from Raspberry Pi with SPI peripherals. (Supposedly easy to drive from anything with SPI). Probably too slow for video unless using short streaks, but great for animation.

Item was defective and did not have a custom addressable design. I'm very disappointed, was hoping they might be a viable alternative to Adafruit's NeoPixels. Obviously you get what you pay for.

I bought one of these ribbons to hang from the ceiling in my room. After connecting the strip, I saw that there was a broken pixel in the center of the strip, which broke the connection with the rest of the LEDs. After I posted the product review, the company immediately contacted me and apologized, then they sent me another LED strip. I just received it and this time it works without any defects. I'm very glad they offered me a replacement as some other companies wouldn't.

Bought 5 meters of Wintop 2812b 30 LED/m waterproof tape and they work great. They arrived in less than 2 days in secure, anti-static packaging. It often annoys me that manufacturers accidentally splice smaller strips before inserting them into the silicone tubing, resulting in an uneven gap that can really mess up the matrix design. I ordered this LED strip for a house project I'm working on and it looks great. I use an Arduino Nano to control them and they work as expected. The waterproof housing is also practical. These are individually addressable RGB LEDs, meaning you can program each LED with a different color. This differs from SMD5050 or other RGB LED strips where you can set the entire strip to just one color. The packaging of this product is better than others I have ordered.
