Second bike saddle

This is my second Silverado saddle from WTB. Most saddles lean too far and too quickly, making them quite uncomfortable and causing more chafing. This supports the sit bones better. It's no wider than any other performance saddle, but it's flatter and doesn't tilt as much as many of them. For those of us who aren't in the best riding condition but also don't want a big, unwieldy saddle, this is great.

Pros
  • 142mm x 280mm
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Very useful for short trips.

Very comfortable for the first hour and a half but at the end of the three hour ride I was itching to get off. This saddle has significantly more padding than any others I've had and I thought it might help on longer rides, but that's certainly not the case. If I had to guess, the saddle would be too flat and didn't have enough center cut-out. I'll try the Fizik Argo R5 and see if it's the holy grail.

Pros
  • The optimized padding-to-weight ratio makes the Silverado a hit in all disciplines, from enduro to street.
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

The perfect saddle? Yes!

I needed to replace an original saddle and have tested many different options. Before I got this one I bought a competitor's saddle (which cost a lot more dollars btw) and it just wasn't for me. I wanted to go with the Volt but since it has a duck tail at the back I knew I wouldn't like it. Get in the perfect Silverado saddle! It's flatter but still quite long, allowing for plenty of movement and seating. He also has a "boy" comfort zone, which is great. But it also has two other comfort zonesโ€ฆ

  • Microfiber Cover/Flexible Shell/DNA Padding

Great saddle if you don't like saddles with a lot of padding.

Less is more with this saddle. It's on the light side of the fill, but just enough. If your backside is already used to saddles, you should love this. If you're new to relief and/or want to think about the amount of padding, look elsewhere. I find the saddle very comfortable for long mountain rides and short local rides. As for durability, time will tell, but it has replaced a five year old previous model that broke the rail for me. I don't blame the seat for the broken rail as I have usedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Type of sport: Cycling
Cons
  • So far, so good

Versatile solution for long rides in the saddle

If you're looking for a flat saddle with comfort in all positions (aero, climb, sit) then you can't beat the Silverado. I've had a fancy shapeshifting saddle, a 3D printed saddle and short nosed guys, they've worked for me for months but I've never really felt comfortable. The Silverado is neutral and flat, so all you have to do is adjust the tilt and fore/aft position. The rear of the saddle is well padded when upright, and when seated in an aero position provides nose support. Weight doesn'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Long, tapered nose and flatter platform provide plenty of room for position changes.
Cons
