🔧 High-Quality Wubbers Classic Series Medium Flat Nose Duckbill Jeweller's Pliers Review

I bought these and several other pliers from Wubbers Classic for jewelry making. These are quality tools; much better than the pliers available at your local craft store. They feel good in my hands, smooth and easy to use, with good surface finish. Well packaged and arrived on time. As always, Revain offers excellent service and quality products.

These tongs should have fitted, but the petals were misaligned and didn't meet flush. Given this, it is questionable how long it will be before one or both blades detach and the tool becomes unusable. I am giving 3 stars simply because I have purchased other Wubbers pliers before and they have all been quality products. For some reason this pair had a manufacturing defect so I consider it a quality control issue rather than a design flaw.

I wanted to try the Wubbers pliers but felt I couldn't justify the price as I already had the pliers. I went ahead and ordered these and finally the chain pliers. They are cool! You don't damage the wire very much - you have a lot of leverage so you don't have to squeeze the wire as hard. A very strong feeling for her. Wubbers thin round nose pliers are great for wired names. I ordered them about a day after receiving them. Worth the price.

Update: 01/19/18: I use these pliers for a few hours most days and today one of the springs broke - I have had these pliers for just over a month, so I can't return them. While they worked, they were very good. With a spring, it becomes difficult to operate. Excellent chain pliers. I've been using another brand for years but needed a new pair and tried these out because they were a lot cheaper than the others (not that they were particularly cheap). Anyway, I'm very happy with them.
