Perfect windshield wiper for the Northeast winter

Perfect windshield wiper for the Northeast winter, although I'm not sure if the renaming is considered 'extreme' as it looks like we are it the same wipers I've been using since 2003 .

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good but not great

Bosch quality at an affordable price

Red tips are Anco's trademark on its bladeless wipers. Having bought cheap brands, more expensive Bosch blades, I will now continue to buy this particular set. The prices are slightly higher than cheap Bosch-quality wipers. The universal clamp is also better made than the others I've used and it's easy to install on a variety of ports!

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I'm just not a fan of these winter wipers. When you get caught in a blizzard, the ice starts to build up and the bar doesn't push down hard enough, so you might have to stop a few times during a two-hour ski trip to scratch your windshield. Old-fashioned winter skis with rubber boots are much better for "extreme" conditions.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • There are downsides

Not happy ANCO

I usually use winter blades as I live in the Northeast. I usually use ANCO Winter Blades, although I have used others. I saw this winter blade from ANCO and liked the idea that it has weighted ends to maintain contact with the windshield. Having had positive experiences with ANCO blades in the past, I decided to give this one a try. The worst decision I could have made. This blade is probably the worst I've ever owned. During recent blizzards, the blade immediately iced and continued to ice…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
