Nice replacement

The first thing that struck me is that the color is more golden brown than "brown" but still attractive. My original line was thicker, but this line seems to be just as strong. To cut the thread, I wet the end and twist it like thread through a needle. You don't have to melt the ends. Even though it's thinner, my weak tensioner seems to be working just fine. Mine are 15 years old. If necessary, I can press the clasp with my finger. For aesthetic reasons I would have preferred a thicker cable…

Great product. The cord is all nylon so you will need to use a flame to seal the frayed end when you cut it. I measured the middle of my old worn cord and bought this as it was the same size. When replacing it, I noticed that the end of my old cable, where it wasn't frayed or stretched, was about 20% larger in diameter. So measure the cord at the end and buy the right size. My original cable was very stiff, maybe it was cotton on the side and wouldn't compress allowing the little brake wheel to

Quality cables - but why an odd number of spare cables?

I use this to replace worn and broken cotton cords on my matchstick blinds. The cord is the right weight and appears to be more durable than the original cotton. The color goes beautifully with the mottled brown tones of the blinds themselves and is a nice touch. Wooden poles are much stronger and nicer than the plastic ends that came with the original blinds. What is confusing is that the manufacturer only includes five rods with a coil of this length.
