Good dog food. in the feed

Salmon without filler - good for the dog, good solid food for the owner. I wish it was cheaper but it holds up as we only give our 25lb poodle mix 1/4 can for dinner mixed with water and Nutrisca Salmon Pellet Base. 1 glass is enough for 4 days. That's for dinner. For breakfast he gets a 1/4 can of Wild Calling brand with the same pellet base.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Functionality

The product is of high quality but the glasses are wrinkled

Excellent product. Expensive but you get what you pay for. So far I've only used 3 cans from this case and 2 of them were quite visibly dented! One even staggered, could not hold oneself firmly on the counter. I wonder if it's seconds? I will order more but if the lenses are dented again I will contact the seller to ask about it. I would do it this time but couldn't find a link to do it.

Pros
  • The price is excellent

  • There are nuances

Becomes too thick on cooling. Cats wouldn't eat it.

I like big canned cat food for the value and less waste. I scoop it out onto a plate with a spoon and let them eat little by little, refrigerating the unused portion. The problem with this cat food is that it gets too thick and hard in the fridge. Once it gets to that point, cats will stop eating it. However, you will eat it just fine at room temperature. And I know I can try to warm it up before they eat, but I don't want to. I just stick with the other brand of groceries I buy. Edit: I was…

My cats refused to touch it.

I used to feed Wysong exclusively and when I decided to try it again with two cats that had never had it I was surprised by the results. First, four cans were badly dented, as if something heavy had crushed them from above. Second, my two cats categorically refused to eat it. I've tried everything from mixing it with her favorite food to adding bone broth to enhance the flavor. I don't want to blame the company but in this case something is wrong with the food. Instead of bothering with…

Pretty much the only thing our cats will eat

Expensive but both our cats (16 and 18) love it. One of our cats developed a sensitivity to chicken so I found it difficult to find cat food without chicken. After two years of trying different brands, we settled on Wysong Epigen. We tried all varieties of Wysong Epigen and ended up only ordering this one. They only seem to like other flavors when we mix Wysong's Archetype Pollack formula, but even that gets ignored half the time. Wysong recommends that you alternate Epigen products for a…

Excellent cat food. Schipper is a demolition derby.

I bought this product just in case Martin Zucker's excellent veterinary book Natural Veterinary Guide to Cats (also available here) came out. If you read the acknowledgments page, you will see that a large number of veterinarians and feline nutritionists have made tremendous contributions to this book. Most prefer a few commercial products. It was one of the few options recommended by many of the book's authors. i have three cats One of them is almost 18 years old, he has kidney disease. His…
