Solid devices. Poor integration with Alexa.

I bought two packs of 1100 lumen Wyze color bulbs. The bulbs themselves feel rock solid and represent good value for money. The reviews led me to think they appear a bit brighter than they actually are, but it's true that they're noticeably brighter than the 800 lumen bulbs I already have, so that was probably the case than my expectations too were high. no product defect. However, as noted by several other reviewers, while these devices work with Alexa, they're not without fiddling. The steps…

Pros
  • CRI Rating 90+. See more natural and vibrant colors in your home with an improved Color Rendering Index (CRI). Never again confuse navy blue with black in your closet.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good with a bumpy start.

I already have a few Kasa bulbs so I'm used to RGB bulbs. I just got my first two Wyzes the other day and I'm having problems. Both went through the setup, the router assigned them an address, Alexa recognized them without my doing. That was the end of the first good experience. Once joined and in the app they didn't do anything at all including getting a requested unsolicited firmware update. They are not updated and the Wyze or Alexa app does not control them. I checked online and saw several

Pros
  • lighter. Dimmer. Better. - The maximum luminous flux of most colored lamps is 800 lm. Adjust our lamps brighter (1100lm/75W), dimmer (30lm/2W) or elsewhere, with a wide range of light output, as intense or as subtle as you need.
Cons
  • Expensive

Wyze has come a long way in terms of the quality of their app and devices. I don't really need colored bulbs, but I bought them because they are very light and (equally important) they can go very dark if I want them to - and I can choose a color from very warm to very cold - - and sometimes choose a color if i want. A note on these bulbs and an important feature: Don't underestimate the importance of a feature that Wyze has had for a long time and MANY other bulbs don't - if you lose power…

Pros
  • White light temperature control - cool down and focus or warm up and relax. Dedicated white light controls allow you to choose the perfect setting for your activity.
