Description of πŸ“» Xiegu G90 HF Radio: Ultimate 20W SSB/CW/AM/FM SDR with Auto Antenna Tuner

Detachable Display Unit - The display unit and the radio body can be separated. This allows you to place the head remotely. Wide Range Auto Antenna Tuner - Unlike other QRP radios, the G90 has a wide-range internal automatic antenna tuner so you can load up your favorite field antenna! The G90 also comes with a built-in mediumwave (AM broadcast) high-pass filter. Beautiful Color LCD Screen - All vital operating information is clearly visible in daylight conditions. 48KHZ wide spectrum display with waterfall gives you excellent awareness of the signal conditions around you. Easy to Use - You can use the Quick Mode button to turn on or off various functions. Instead of setting up different functions in the menu, you can directly adjust them by pressing corresponding function keys. We provide a 1-year warranty on Xiegu G90. As usual, if you modify the radio's hardware, the warranty is void. [Latest Firmware Version] - Firmware V1.77 is available on Radioddity.

Very easy to use in radio antennas

Approximately 2 weeks in use. It took me about 2 days to remember the keyboard. Once you have it set up, there are very few adjustments to make. I really like the automatic antenna tuner. Very solid well thought out design. Have a magnifying glass ready to read the small display. It's also a great portable radio.

Cons
  • Only available in black

Great little radio

Great for mobile use. Just add a 12V 7 amp battery and a portable antenna. It has excellent features such as antenna analysis, SDR, face split, antenna tuner and includes a programming cable for software upgrades. I think it's great value for money but please don't expect $1000 Yaesu performance.

Cons
  • Expensive

some good features at a good price.

A good entry into the hobby at a reasonable price with good performance. Not "QRP" by definition, but it can be dialed down to lower power with knobs and controls if you like QRP. Does not require an expensive, heavy power supply. Relatively easy to use with waterfall, built-in antenna tuner and SWR scanner. I can't give the management 5 stars but I've seen worse. That may be enough to learn (figure out how) to use the radio. I study. Check out YouTube.

  • Accessories and consumables

  • Small parts

Great value QRP-SDR setup for HF and 6m (160-6m)

This is a great radio for the price. It's not perfect, it's not a tank, and it's not a full-size rig (it maxes out at 20W), but for a sub-$500 transceiver it's a decent, budget-friendly alternative to pricier units in this weight class. excellent, roughly rivaling (though not better than) my Icom HF setup. The speaker sounds great. At my booth, the transmit power was exactly what the radio said, and was as high as 1 watt, a power level that some stations get imprecise and noisy. The signals…

Really like it for the price

The G90 is a decent little radio for the price. The output power is adjustable in 1W increments from 1W to 20W, making it ideal for portable or backup power applications. If you need to work with MARS/CAP frequencies, the mod is easy enough with a soldering iron (however, this will void the warranty). You can add a 100W power amplifier and an external antenna tuner, but this increases the cost significantly. Twenty watts on a phone is enough for most portable surgeries. With an open strip, 10…
