The cutter is well designed, works well, and is attractive, but closer inspection shows some fit-and-finish issues with the wood scales. I have owned a Xikar cutter in he past and lost it. I figured it was time to purchase a nicer unit this time around. Still he same quality cutting blades but a nicer design with the redwood. Xikar makes the worlds best cigar cutters, hands down. And at the outstanding price of $52 including shipping, that's $27 cheaper than the $79 retail price. Don't think about buying a Xikar, just buy it. You will not be sorry.

I absolutely love this cutter. I'm a big fan of cigars and smoke when I am able to; this puppy is a wonderful addition to my cigar game.I did have an issue with it when it got wet (beyond my control) as the wood came off the metal. So don't let it get wet––I believe that wood purchases will always necessitate special care so this is not giving it a worse review. I recommend this Redwood/Stainless cutter as well as Xikar, in general.Not sure if this would be good for a bris but it works well for

The Xikar cutters were originally made in Germany and were exceptional. Current production from Taiwan leaves much to be desired. After purchase found the machining of the center hole is not accurate (Not a perfect circle, hills and valleys on edge) and one blade binds slightly (does not open all the way). I examined several others and found poor manufacturing to greater or lesser degree. Suggest you buy from a merchant which will accept returns if you do not examine prior to purchase.

Xikar is nothing to laugh at.this has the smoothest cut of anything I have tried.You can't even feel the point where the blades come together on the cigar A+++

Bought this for my husband. It is really a beautifully trimmed cutter in redwood. Smooth action opening and closing when cutting the cigar. Made a great gift!

Very nice cutter with a solid feel. This was a gift and the recipient already had cigar cutters, which I didn't know. But he says this is his best one and he loves it, so this ended up being an excellent gift.

Well it’s an amazing Cutter but the hole is kind of small so any cigar over 60 gauge is difficult to cut with it. That's my feedback!
